Too often we feel broken by our imperfections, chipped away by pain and heartache and perceived shortcomings.
Our bark begins to wear away and we feel exposed, ashamed by the visibility of our wounds, trying desperately to appear vibrant and perfect and whole.
But what if being whole means accepting ourselves as we innately are: weathered and capable of pain, but rooted and strong enough to heal?
Do not feel shamed by what makes you human, and ground yourself in the knowledge that what you might view as shortcomings, others view as courageous. Recognize the strength you carry to bear whatever chaos the wind carries and when you cannot face the storms alone, remember that you’re surrounded by a forest of others whose branches are reaching out to you.
